Due to continued growth, we are looking for additional Unified Communications Engineers to join our team. This is a customer facing position and the UC Engineer can expect to spend most of the time in CITS Network Operations Center (NOC) working with the rest of the engineering team to resolve client issues.

Engineers on the NOC team are responsible for triaging and troubleshooting communications issues and processing moves, adds, and changes. In this position the candidate would be responsible for working with Corporate IT Solutions’ customers and leading the remediation effort throughout the incident management process and lifecycle of a ticket to ensure issues are resolved as quickly as possible while providing clear, concise, and timely updates. The UC Engineer will need to demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced support environment, have experience in deploying and supporting Cisco voice environments, be highly motivated, excited about learning new products and technologies, and able to effectively communicate ensuring superior customer service and maintaining a strong customer relationship. It is expected that the UC Engineer will have excellent technical and communication skills and work well in a team environment.


  • Supporting existing voice environments and resolving issues escalated to the Network Operations Center in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and voice related issues
  • Software and IOS updates
  • TAC Case escalation and remediation
  • Assist on projects, moves, adds, and changes
  • Build, Configure, and / or upgrade new or existing all system components in accordance with customer approved functional change requirements.
  • Create incident or project deliverables including, incident reports, migration plans, and Visio diagrams as appropriate.
  • Train and disseminate information to engineers in the helpdesk and NOC.


  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Cisco Unified communications manager and Unity Connection
  • BS in CS/EE or equivalent experience


  • CCNP – Voice
  • CCNP or CCIE – Network


  • Cisco routing and switching
  • Cisco unified communications (voice)
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
  • Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with minor supervision
